Great Value for the price. Fit and finish is comparable to Aimpoint. Out of the box, the Holosun red dot is automatically solar powered, light weight, long battery life, and ease of use. The red dot auto adjusts to ambient light.This Solar Powered Holosun red dot has two power systems, one is operated by solar power only while the other operates on battery only. The sight will automatically switch back to solar mode after a programmable time of up to 12 hours. The sight is always on. Brightness adjustment is straightforward with two rubber covered buttons on top. You can hold both buttons down to turn the sight off. Adjusting the sight is also straightforward with adjustment knobs on the top and right side. A nifty little feature is the caps also serve as an adjusting tool so you don’t have to pull out a flat tip screwdriver. 

The Holosun HS403C Solar Red Dot sight comes with two picatinny rail friendly mounts. One mount will co-witness with standard AR15 BUIS sights and the other is a flat, low profile sight mount. A unique feature of this Holosun sight is no external battery box keeping it nice and compact.  At 50,000 hours of battery life (over five years) there shouldn’t be much need to replace batteries.
